X (Twitter): X allows companies to create content, engage and monitor analytics. Many companies use X to post about their product and see the public opinion of their posts through the comments and responses. TikTok: TikTok is the newest site to begin to work on marketing, but companies can now use TikTok to promote their content and products while also analyzing insights. TikTok has also been able to help small businesses creating the TikTok shop where people can go and purchase products directly from the app. Different social media marketing sites require different approaches. Social media has become the entity where everyone can connect and engage with each other. So, all companies should invest money and time to connect with all generations through all social media sites.

When visiting a website there are lots of things that we don’t think about in the moment. Things that enhance our experience when we are shopping online, but the website creators took many elements into hand and added them to enhance the website. When making a website it is important to think about many elements like color scheme, buttons, images, videos, and trust symbols. A website should always have a color scheme that is inviting, while at the same time not distracting the customer. Website color schemes are usually inspired from the brands logo colors. Images and videos are incredibly important when talking about retail websites. There are so many instances where someone is thinking of buying a product, but the website doesn’t have many pictures of the product which leads to them not buying anything. Websites like Nike excel in this by showing many pictures of the product and sometimes a video of a model wearing the product. Buttons are also important in retail because they encourage the customer to buying the product. They can serve as connectors, allowing you to connect pages together and can help provide a roadmap for your users to get from one piece of content to another. Companies like IKEA have many buttons in their site like “add to cart” and “buy”. Trust symbols like 5 stars and 1 year warranty are very powerful because they give customers the confidence to make the purchase that they might’ve been skeptical about. There are many elements in making a website and they are all just as important. They give customers confidence, they show examples of products, and give the customers the ability to connect with the company in case of any questions or concerns.

The best way to do this is with research or with an experiment, but how do you know which one to use. Marketing research is a process that allows you to collect information about customers and competitors in the market. While an experiment helps you find the cause and effect of something. Marketing research helps to understand the market landscape, this can be done with surveys or focus groups. Market research blends consumer behavior and economic trends to confirm and improve your business idea. For example, if Apple wanted to know how iPhone users feel about the price of iPhones, you would get an understanding from peoples answers if they like it or don’t and why they feel that way. Marketing experiments helps to find the reason something happens in the market. This is done through two types of experiments: Laboratory experiments and Field experiments. A TV pilot is a Laboratory experiment, when Netflix wants to release a new show but they are not sure how people will like it they release the first episode which is considered a pilot. This allows them to see if people are invested to the story and would keep watching the show. A Field experiment works by manipulating the independent variables and measuring the results. For example, if New Balance are thinking about releasing a new shoe but have not yet decided what the final design would be, they can have their final three design and ask people what they think of each design. This would allow them to see the opinions of the customer depending on the design of the shoe. Marketing Research helps you understand what someone feels about something and Marketing Experiments help you understand why they feel that way. Research and Experiments are both very valuable, but it is important to know when to use each one to be able to get the most out of them.

Of course, there are instances where you need to survey a large amount of people but many times you should keep it lower. This can be found through experiments, surveys, and various different studies. For example, a Qualitative question would be why did Andy eat cereal today. And a Quantitative question would be, how many times did Andy eat cereal this week. All research is important for us to know and the first step to this is to find the question. Both qualitative and quantitative studies are subject to rigorous quality standards. However, the research techniques utilized in each type of study differ, as do the questions and issues they hope to address or resolve. The question will lead us on the track that we must follow in both Quantitative and Qualitative research.

- How Creating a Website Teaches You About Yourself
As we go through life, we think that we know everything about ourselves, from the experiences we have had and the lessons we have learned from young. But what if there was another way to learn about yourself no matter the age. When making this website, I learned many things about myself that I never would’ve thought of. When we think of learning, we think of students in a classroom with a professor explain various topics. They combine verbal and visual explanations, explain concepts using both a “big-picture” and a detail-oriented approach, and give students opportunities for active learning and reflection. But what if we were our own professor, taking ourselves through this path. When making this website about myself, and starting making the “About” page, I struggled to put into a couple words who I really am. I couldn’t describe myself and it was driving me crazy, until I decided to try to look at myself from other people’s shoes. I asked friends and family what they think my strengths and weakness are and started building from there. I learned a lot not just from the things that they told me but from, but when I finally started writing and figuring it out, I started thinking about who I want to be in the future. We can always learn something new every day, but it won’t always come from others that we talked to or the people we see on TV. Learning can come from ourselves and it can drive us forward to be bright thinkers and overall great workers.
